So many months, So many years!!

My first shutter sunrise for 2015
Playing tourist
Its been so many months since I picked up my camera for a run to chase the sun. It also has been so many years since I set foot on the land where I was born and proudly call LOCO!!

Yeah!! Penang Island babyyyy!! Where one will never die hungry with all the champion of foods offered and not for the people who diet to live!! One practically live for food in Penang because the time you wake up, your breakfast is already a breakfast of champions!!

Being away from my hometown for many years with my shutters kept quite for many months, I hooked up with some new friends who wants to look for sunrise with me. But after many months going idle on my shutter really showed its mark...
With a body that had lack sleep and fatigue, it took me a while to just see the view. Then, it took me even further just to realize that I went wrong and kept composing and composing the same scene time after time!! Well, it is true that people say practice makes perfect. It is also true that you need to warmup that rusty engine before running the course - which I did not!!

The first compose
With an invitation to a wedding which my Mother forced me to drive her, I took the advantage for my own agenda - friends, food and sunrise. I had a little bit of too much activity on the day that I had lack of rest. Then, late night I drove from KL towards Penang with my cruising speed as I was not at my best driving emotion. Took the new bridge to reach the island. Tried to lay my head at my Aunt's apartment only to realize that I only have 1.5 hours till the meet-up!! So I just rest instead of sleep. Then, went for morning prayers at Masjid Terapung Pulau Pinang before meeting my new friends. Conversations were done via mobile chat apps so no one really knew how one looks like... reminds me of the days of mIRC - LOL. Then we went to the location only the I realized that my tripod plate was missing!! Arghhhh!! Just to start up my day!! Lucky enough someone threw their tripod for a street-like shooting so I could use it for my old-man style of 9 exposure HDR.

The second compose
With a set of sleepy eyes and a fatigue body, my composition was really really bad which I felt but then realize later when editing. I felt like smacking and whacking everything but then I remembered why I chase the sun, it was to learn patience, appreciate the wonders and to suppress my Dark Side. I took my time and remained focus 9 frame at a time.

The 3rd compose
I then realize (yeah it did take me quite sometime), to realize that there was no cloud and that the deep blue sky was really amazing. I had to quickly remind myself of all tricks I had while figuring out the tripod that was new to my hands.

When I reached home, I realized that I was a cloud person. With the cotton clouds presents not available, I felt that the scene was not dramatic enough for me to feel but then again I was also sleepy, tired, lazy and had not been practising. I will find my way...

Signing off
