Star Wars in Life

After a thousand years... Korriban is ours again. WELCOME HOME - Darth Malgus
No I wasn't lazy to update my blog this round. I just had lack internet resources... Ha ha ha...
I am stuck on my 3G tethering and with a limit of 10GB a month, I'll skip to the important things in life. But since this is the holy month of fasting, all those were put to halt and I can do this - LOL

Star Wars is a family activity for us. It all began the day my late father brought me to the movies to watch Return of the Jedi after the numerous times I've been repeating the recorded behind the scene that was hosted by Carrie Fisher which was recorded on VHS via local government TV channel. And the highlight of the BTS was the teaser at Sarlacc Pit scene. Guess my late father could not stand the complains he received of my playing with broom sticks as my lightsaber or some other things as my blaster. - LOL

Little did I knew everything then in my life after that had a Star Wars scene somewhere...

A dawn at the furtherst Moon of Endor
And when in high school, I hid the force somewhere deep at the corner of my heart because around that time everyone was into X-Men. I just held... with passive Yoda english spoken. And when in college, they started to play the trilogy special edition at the movies where those who accompanied me to the movies surely had bad memories coz I was literally the only one in sync with each every lines of the movies and practically everyone said "You don't need to watch the movie, it is already implanted into you!!" - LOL. My cousin even got shocked where right after we watched Episode V while walking out the cinema, I went straight to the ticket counter again to book for Episode VI and that was his first experience on a back to back cinema experience.
I later then bought the VCDs and watched all 3 Episodes with my late father (geez... just gave me the goosebumps with some tears remembering this). Dad was the one who showed me to the cinema, and in my teens he dislikes going to cinemas. Hence, I made home cinema for him. And did we enjoyed our time.

There's always the Empire to greet you
Years came... I laid low and I fell in love with one whom till now just keeps sticking with me even when I fall deep. Well, I did make the chase - LOL
During our adventures, it was the window I started to collect Star Wars and Transformers. With the prequel of Episodes I/II/III aired during our love dovey birdies times you bet we were there at the movies. Though on those days, my collection on Star Wars was just a coin box of Darth Vader which was then been made into 18 pieces by my juniors - LOL. But somehow, my heart for the force was not yet truly unleashed because when I had my sons, they were more into Transformers back then. Yet in the years (ever since VCD was introduced), I had this tradition where I always have a Star Wars movie day once every year and I remembered one year my girlfriend couldn't stand being alone at home where she would call me every hour asking which episode am I at now. She later then came to my house to join me to watch the rest of the movies - LOL, because I'd ignore everything in life and watch all 6 episodes and she got bored I guess but rather than playing the losing game, she jumped into the ship. This tradition kept on going with my sons at my side and slowly pulling them into the force...

Welcome the Empire - Cloud City
My family truly unleashed the force after we had moved into our current house. After unpacking the boxes, I found my old DVDs of Episodes 1 to 6. Since the old tele and DVD player was in my sons room, we relived the movie nights. And from movie nights, comes the googling of characters by my first born (who till to date is where I would ask about Star Wars should I get stuck - LOL). And with their interest gets larger and we found the pit of collectors scene, I upgraded into buying blasters and UFX Lightsabers. At this point, I was a little held up because well, someone just couldn't see eye to eye regarding this matter.

Later in the years, we met with an official Star Wars Club and that just made us went into lightspeed making the Kessel run under 11!! From the first club meet, to a first lightsaber flashmob, to new friends, to toy collections, to club activities, to stunt sabers, to costume creations and things just never ends. Now, everyone single member of my family has a character of their own (even our cats!!). And we got closer to each other having Star Wars bonding us tighter.

Obsession - The Dark Side of the Force
After the first lightsaber flashmob which was done at KLCC in 2014, I began collecting at a much serious pace. With my wingmen and number one scout by my side, we began looking into things bit by bit. What started from a small bookshelves cabinet seems to expand in something in need of help. And my sons are the ones who takes good care of these with one having future plans for them. These are just some of the items one can see... He he he. And for the first time in my life, my mother does not complain of what we bought!! Instead of blabbering, she was extremely happy because at her every visit, she will sit in front of our collections then listen to her grandsons; explaining everything to her again and again and making the same explanations again during her next visit. I just couldn't be more happier seeing all these. All other parts of my family members just kept supporting our love for Star Wars that frankly sometimes I just couldn't keep up with their love - ROTFLOL.

Forbidden Love
What was a passion became an obsession developed from love.
She got her first costume.
I got my first stunt saber.
She tried hard and achieved fitting into her iconic costume.
I yield my Malice.
She became a slave to enslave me.
I became the Master of my Malice...
And we all have our own Lightsabers

The Jedi amongst us
Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) Jedi Council
Our love of Star Wars went another level when my first born wanted to cosplay and after receiving his costume from one of my friend, he proudly appears in it. His love was forever in the Jedi council and he became it.
Presenting, Master Vortex. Encyclopaedia of the Jedi archives.
His brother on the other hand was at first having shyness and did not want to jump in but quickly begged for a costume after seeing his brother in action. The photo above was his first cosplaying where he enjoyed being tired and hungry but just loved every moment. At times I saw him being in character in his shyness.
Owh, did I mentioned that their grandma asked if both had costume on?? More concerned?? - ROTFLOL

My Jedai at CTFKL 2.0
From a collector, to a cosplayer. One of the young cosplayer with a full DIY costume, he made it into the papers after his 3rd appearance. Like a true cosplayer, none of his friends knew about this nor did he ever tell them. To him, this is family...

The first time my boys got into cosplay together at Star Wars day 2nd May 2015
After much seeing his brother, he was just jumping all around begging for a costume for himself. After much deliberation, we agreed on this as his character as it near mirrors him - could not sit still, always jumping all around when fighting, calm towards love (his mother), double blades and always in confusion.
I present to you... Danny "Starkiller". Detailed keeper of the force artefacts (our toys).

What is thy bidding my Master? - Vader's Assassin, Starkiller, Galen Marek
My wife and I had a fun time making this costume as we have never made any costume our whole life and ideas just keeps pouring when we were even happier. And since Malaysia has yet to have a Starkiller, we jumped in first and had my friend playing Vader to create the above scene.

While the true characters of my wife will remain a secret until she unveils, mine however has come to a halt as I remain into helping others in suiting up to help everyone to be happy and enjoy their Star Wars moments.
