Putrajaya Fireworks Competition 2013 - Team USA

Teaser... One of the 1st shot
Just came back outing with some friends... well about 4 hours ago that is (ha ha ha) from Putrajaya. They were holding a fireworks competition for a few weekends from the night of our Independence Day, 31st August.

The weather was perfect last night as the crowds and friends informed me that yesterday it was raining and they couldn't really enjoy it whereas a few weeks ago the air was at standstill leaving the pack of smoke thick for everyone to enjoy the show. The competition was suppose to be held at midnight but some last minute changes it came down to 10 pm so we had to rush our way like when one was late for college class with an angry professor waiting to shut the door tight.

Though having a spot was going to be hard, we were lucky enough to be invited by a friend's relative to join at their house backyard where they had picked a spot for us. We didn't had much time to set up as we reached about 10 minutes before the show started! We struggled our gears and settings but still managed to get a few "test" shots before the show - lucky enough. Yeah lucky enough which is also lucky enough that I had many encounters with fireworks making setting up the camera at ease.

This piece was one of the many shots taken. I just wanted to process the "early" shots first to satisfy my shutter hunger and to satisfy my thirst of editing.

Hope you guys enjoy this. Many more will come when I have the time.

Cheerio
